Synopsis

A Kingdom on the Brink

The Lady of Mann weaves romance, magic, early medieval history, and Arthurian legend into a sweeping tale set in sixth-century Britain and Scotland.

The Disappearance

Nora, a magical healer, emerges from her quiet village in the North to search for her missing kinsman and archdruid, Gildas, in Camelot. There, she meets Gawaine of Lothian, and soon after, her powers become mysteriously erratic. Meanwhile, she battles her fears and a past entanglement with King Arthur’s son, the duplicitous Mordred, as she courageously attempts to save Gildas, Camelot, and the kingdoms of ancient Britain from a druidic curse, conspiracies, and Mordred’s impending reign as high king.

Love & Adventure

Gawaine is the high king’s best and most loyal knight. He’s sworn his life to King Arthur and the realm. Now he must choose between his duties and Gildas’s niece, Nora. But, he’s drawn to her and into her world of the Goddess and Otherworldly powers. Together, they search for Gildas and gather allies to oppose his foster brother, Mordred, from becoming high king and plunging the world into misery and mayhem with his selfish ambitions.

The Final Reckoning

As the pieces fall into place, will Nora and Gawaine find Gildas? Can they and their allies save ancient Britain from the curse decaying the land, conspirators ready to destroy Camelot, and especially the ruthless and maniacal Mordred? Is Nora strong enough to control her unbelievable power and claim her legacy? Does she even want to?

Why This Book, Now

We are connected through the Higher Power that surrounds us all! We may have forgotten or lost that wisdom. Every living being matters, doesn’t it? Let’s use the power around us to sustain and improve life.

Also, the parallels between Mordred’s rise to power and the patterns we see in modern leadership, empire-building fueled by wealth, ego, and a troubling lack of empathy, are evident.

When power is unchecked and the loudest voices seem to dominate, stories like this matter. Stories about courage and perseverance. About ordinary people risking everything to stand against a future ruler driven by force rather than wisdom.

The Lady of Mann meets this moment by reminding us that opposition to power and greed is possible, and that even in the shadow of tyranny, loyalty and love can endure.
